Vanina Starkoff was born in Buenos Aires on 1981. She is a Graphic Designer, and she got her degree at the Buenos Aires University. She was formed as an Ilustrator in the Arts School Sótano Blanco with José Sanabria.

Her first Picture Book was “ Bailar en las Nubes" ( Dance in the Clouds). This book was finalist in the III Compostela International Prize, and was published by Kalandraka in seven different languages: English, Galician, Basque, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese and Catalan.

Her second Picture Book “Bola Roja” (Red Ball), received a Honorable Mention in the contest “A la orilla del Viento” (At the edge of the Wind)
organized by the publishing company “Fondo de la Cultura Económica”, in Mexico, during 2010.

She is a teacher in Ilustration Creative Process Printing Works, and she is in charge of the Children´s Digital Ilustration Printing Works. Both courses are given in the Arts School Sótano Blanco.

Her work has been published in different publishing companies from Argentina, Spain and Italy.

Nowadays she works as designer, author and ilustrator of children books.
